Hello, I’m Brian Rodriguez and I am the Business Development Specialist for Pacific Coast Carbon. I’m responsible for identifying opportunities for business growth and optimizing marketing strategies. I am fortunate to have found a company that appreciates me, my skill set, my ideas and what I bring to the table every day. They care about my development and who I am as a person.
I am happily married to my lovely wife, Kara. She teaches 5th grade and is completing her Administrative Internship. We have a busy 2 year old son who is full of energy, love, smiles and mischief! He loves Mickey Mouse and truly lights up a room with his positive energy.
In my spare time I enjoy getting outside, golfing, watching sports and most importantly, creating fond memories with family and friends.
Hello, I’m Toby the shop dog. I insist on being in the office five days a week.
I enjoy regular treats, backyard BBQ’s, positive reinforcement and long walks around the warehouses.
On my days off you can find me covered in activated carbon and chasing the UPS delivery driver.

Hi my name is Matt Metz and I am the Director of Sales at Pacific Coast Carbon. I am very pleased to be a part of such a solid company that is family owned and operated. A big theme at Pacific Coast Carbon is “Together”. There is a definite sense of team play going on here at Pacific Coast Carbon. We truly believe the team concept applies not only to our office and staff, but also resonates with all of our valued customers.
In my free time, I love being with my family. I have been married to my best friend, and the love of my life for nearly 21 years. We have 3 wonderful children. My wife and I love to attend all of our kids sporting events. On most weekends you can find us at home barbequing and hanging out with family and friends. Our family also enjoys our long walks and throwing the ball to our dog Boston.
Hello,
I’m Sarah Peru and I am the Vice President here at Pacific Coast Carbon. I love working here at Pacific Coast Carbon because it is a family owned and operated company. Our work is in cleaning up planet earth and I absolutely love being a part of the solution. Our filtration systems are used in a variety of ways from washing fresh picked produce to construction sites, dry cleaning and gas stations. We love what we do.
I also love working with my husband Alex. He has a passion for environmental cleanup and together with our employees we are accomplishing great things. I love that we were able to hand-pick each employee for their character and bring together such a strong and positive group of professionals. I hope you get a chance to work with all of them and experience the difference.
While we help design and install your filtration systems we are also planning and contributing to earth clean up projects. Here at Pacific Coast Carbon, we believe that water is life. We need it. Therefore, we need to make every effort to maintain and improve it.
In my spare time I enjoy trips to the coast and pretty much any outdoor activities. We absolutely love baseball games at sunset down in Scottsdale, Arizona. I also love traveling to new places, especially Europe. My personal goal is to see as many new places and cities as possible with my family.
Hello,
My name is Alex Peru. I am the President of Pacific Coast Carbon. I started Pacific Coast Carbon in 2016 after 25 years of working in the water, air and earth environmental services sectors for large corporate entities. I actually started my water filtration career at the age of 15 in an apprenticeship program, while attending high school. Then in 1996 I started selling and installing large filtration projects at the municipal level. We now own 3 facilities here in the Pacific Northwest.
One of my greatest skill sets is that I started from the bottom of the environmental business and have been through every aspect of our business. Environmental, industrial and municipal cleanup is what I know best. There aren’t many filtration projects that I haven’t experienced, designed and solved at this point in my life. I spend most of my days custom designing water, air & earth filtration systems and problem solving our customers clean-up projects. I love helping people and enjoy solving problems. In 2020 we installed and serviced over 200 systems and I look forward to doubling, possibly tripling these efforts this year and giving my colleagues opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.
When I’m not working you can find me coaching baseball or enjoying life, adventuring with my wife Sarah and our 3 children or working on a new project around our property. We love traveling and attending the Cactus League’s baseball Spring training in Arizona and spending time finding fun new places to explore. I am a fan of all GOOD THINGS in life. Fishing, traveling, a good book and making memories with friends and family.
